SmartLinks connected product platform

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites function properly, remember preferences, and provide information to the site owner. We also use related technologies such as local storage and pixels.

2. What We Use Today

On the SmartLinks marketing website (smartlinks.app) we keep tracking to the bare minimum. We do not currently run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels, or third-party marketing trackers, and we do not need to show a cookie consent banner as a result.

Strictly necessary

  • Authentication session (local storage, set only if you sign in to the SmartLinks platform) — keeps you logged in between page loads.
  • Hosting and CDN — short-lived cookies and headers used by our hosting providers for routing, security and load balancing.

Functional

  • UI preferences (e.g. a sidebar:state cookie that remembers whether navigation panels are expanded or collapsed). No personal data.

Analytics and marketing

None on the public website at this time. If we add privacy-respecting analytics or any third-party trackers in future, we will update this page and, where required by law, introduce a consent banner before any non-essential cookies are set.

3. Embedded Third-Party Content

Some pages may embed third-party content (for example YouTube videos or LinkedIn widgets). When you interact with that content, those providers may set their own cookies under their own policies. We try to avoid loading such embeds unless they are useful to you on a given page.

4. The SmartLinks Platform

The SmartLinks platform itself (used by our customers and the people who scan their products) handles cookies separately from this marketing site. Where those experiences require consent — for example for analytics in a specific brand experience — consent is collected in context inside that experience.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect site functionality (for example, you may not stay signed in to the platform).

6. Do Not Track

Browser "Do Not Track" signals are not yet handled consistently across the web. We respect applicable legal requirements and the choices you make in your browser.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as our site and tools evolve. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
