EUDR
EU Deforestation Regulation
The EU regulation requiring due diligence and geolocation evidence for commodities linked to deforestation risk.
EUDR requires businesses placing specified commodities and derived products on the EU market to show that they are deforestation-free and legally produced. In-scope supply chains include cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood.
Operators need traceable supplier records, plot-level geolocation and a due diligence statement before goods are placed on the market. The evidence is a supply-chain obligation rather than a consumer marketing claim.
Connected product records can carry the identifiers and provenance references needed to connect an item or batch back to that evidence without exposing restricted source data publicly.
